Party Slump.

I am still in a Scentsy party slump, yuk!  Earlier this week I had one party cancel for June and am also unable to get a hold of another girl that wanted a party in June.  So I have been pushing the pavement hard and have some interested more no absolute takers.  On the upside I already have 3 booked for September so I am expecting huge sales for fall, very excited about that. 

This week I was also confirmed for Ladies Fest at von Steihl winery in Algoma, WI.  It is a huge even and the free wine is a nice bonus!

Here we Grow!

So apparently I am a terrible blogger!  I have once again been MIA for a couple of weeks.  I do have some wonderful news to share though.  My team is growing and have my first recruit from the United Kingdom (UK), I am so excited!  This is such a wonderful opportunity for her!  I can only dream of being one of the first consultants in the US but now at least can help someone prave their way and be amazing! 

I am also expecting a couple more recruits next month!  One from South Dakota, Colorado and Indiana.  I am excited for them as well.  It is always such a blessing to help people grow their business and realize their potential.  Love it, Love it!

Where is Summer?

Here I sit Cinco De Mayo and I am freezing!!!  I know I live in Northern Wisconsin, but come on!  I always feel less productive when I am cold although I may be getting more done today because I feel less productive - if that even makes sense? 

So Scentsy'wise' still working on booking some parties.  I am waiting for Scentsy to release the "More parties, More Prizes" incentive program for summer.  Then I think I choose one item and shoot for that. I may even give in and finally ask my MIL do finally have a party.  I also and prospecting one more team memeber this month also - I am extremly excited about that.  It is always refreshing when you have a new team memeber!  It reminds me how I feel and felt about Scentsy when I first started.  Motivating for sure!

It's May!!!

May is here!  Although it does not really feel it here in Wisconsin.  My plan for this month is to book some parties.  As of right now I have none, which I am a little worried about.  But I am doing a lot of marketing it on facebook and Twitter so I am hoping I can get something from there.  I also have contacted a few past party guests who really like the product to see if they are interersted.  I do already have two booked for June though which is good!  So heres crossing my fingers for some emails and phone calls for parties!

Gone to long!

Just realized I have not wrote in awhile!  I think day to day life sometimes gets in the way and I have to push my self to put myself first sometimes. 

The last couple months have been Amazing!  I received the Monthly Mentor Award in February and the Monthy Sales award and March and shooting for it again this month.  WOW!  It looks more amazing when I actually write it out.  It for sure makes me proud of myself for all I have accomplished in just 7 months.

Every morning I see my children's smiling faces I feel so blessed that I have the opportunity to be with them everyday.  How did I get so lucky?

Lazy Day Tuesday

It is almost 2pm here and my daughter is still in her pj's.  I think this happens every Tuesday.  Probably because I watch another little girl who is just month younger than my son.  Have two babies in the house seems more exhausting than one.  So it seems Tuesday turn into a lazy day where my daughter wears her pj's, movies are watched and for me no house work is done. 
I have done some Scentsy work though.  I had two new team members having trouble entering the first order.  I am glad that I am able to help them and be available any time they need me - for the most party anyways.  I also updated a Ladies Night Out event that I will be doing in a few weeks.  Also, I will be receiving the new Spring/Summer catalog on Friday!  YEAH!  And also all the new scents!  I am very excited!  Some of the new scents sound amazing - one is orange with chocolate and there is also another chocolate one.  I cannot wait!

Wowzers!

Wowzers!  Thats all I can say!  The last couple of days have been a whirlwind for sure!  I had a Scentsy party on Wednesday night with two bookings and two people interested in joining this wonderful Scentsy Family.  Yesterday I had a totally different person join my team.  Amazing!  I am so happy to share the Scentsy success with others.  It is such a great company and absolutely love my job.  It is a couple that wants you to shine as your authentic self!  I watch a speech from the CEO of Scentsy and loved the message.  It said you will be successful when you are you!  When you have successfully connected with people who are aligned with their true values you will be successful.  I think that is so powerful!  What job can you say that you are "Your Authentic Self"?  Again - LOVE LOVE my job!

A Visit from a Friend

I had a friend visit today with her 4 year old dd and her new baby who is only 1 month!  It was so nice to get a break for the norm.  It seems winter is longer cooped in the house with the kids.  We do try to get out but its not the same.  This winter has even been to cold to play outside:( 

So today was nice and good conversation!  Of course she smelled some Scentsy and order a plug-in and scents.  I think it helps knowing people who love Scentsy as mush as I do.  It is easier for moms to go to a friends house and shop than actually go to a store and shop.  With two children it is always a struggle and shopping takes that much longer and is 10 times more stressful!

Packers are SuperBowl Champs!

YEAH!  It has been an exciting couple of days in our household.  Sunday's game was amazing and a little scary at times.  Our little DS did not want to miss a single minute!  We tried to put him down at his normal time but was not having it - so he stayed up until the end of the game.  He is still recovering!  Our DD on the other hand was ready for bed at 8pm and asked to go to bed.  I think she has had enough football for the year!

My business has also been amazing!  My schedule has been filling up so fast and faster than I expected!  I love it!  I have talked to three possible recruits this month.  I am pretty positive that two of them will join but not sure on the other one.  Which is fine - I would have them to ready and serious.  I think to truly succeed at anything in life you need to first believe in yourself but also believe in what you are doing.  I truly believe Scentsy is a wonderful product and everyone should own one.  I like to think - "A Wickless world, one home at a time".  I also believe in myself and know that I can truly succeed and reach my true potential! 

I'm back!

We all have still been a little sick.  I had to take DS to the doctors on Monday because he had a very bad sore throat but at least it was not strep. So he is been cranky all week and have not had much time to do much else.  So my house is a mess and I am behind on a few things including this blog!  Scentsy spring sprint was cancelled because of the huge blizzard the midwest received.  I was pretty disappointed!  I was excited to attend my first Scentsy event and be involved in some amazing training.  But good has come from this - I now will be attending Convention in Fort Worth, TX!  That is very exciting.  Not sure how the DH will handle 5 days without me!  I am sure I will miss the fam more than they miss me:)

1 week to Spring Sprint

YEAH!  One week until Scentsy spring sprint!  I cannot wait!  5 hours of motivating, inspiring Scentsy training and workshop!  Scentsy has already added more meaning to my life and now there is going to be more.  I am so ready to gear up my business.  Last night my husband was talking about making in room in the basement for me along with a room for the kids to play while I am working down there.  I think he is seeing the light at the end of the tunnel too.  The last couple of months have been such a whirlwind with Scentsy and it just keeps continuing.  It's so exciting!

Sick

Nothing worse than starting to feel a cold coming on!  You know its coming but just can't stop it, not cool!  I actually I have a very busy next couple of weeks with my Scentsy Business. Tonight a phone meeting with a possible recruit, tomorrow night a home party, next Tuesday meeting with my newest recruit and then on Wednesday off to Spring Sprint in Chicago.  I am excited for everything just hope this cold does not stick around.

It is if you are a Packer fan today!  Again congrats to the Pack! 

I have started my day off with donating Scentsy items to a SAHM mom FB page and taken an order.  So all in all a pretty good day for me.  Also, waiting to hear back from a family friend that would like to book a party.  As a consultant in this business parties are you lifeline.  With Scentsy you need these to show off this wonderful product - since in most area it is a brand new concept, product, and party!  They are also a great way for me to get out of the house for a few hours - I love my family but that alone time is nice! 

I am still working on building my team - one of my past recruits are now starting to show some promise.  I have been trying to communicate with her but she seems she just wants to things by herself.  Which is fine - everyone learns differently. 

Packers Win!

It has been such a busy Scentsy weekend for me which is good!  But because of that I am tired.  On a good note the Packers are going to the Super Bowl!  GO PACK!  Hopefully I will be more up to write more tomorrow.

My First Posting!

I guess I should start by introducing myself - I am a SAHM of two from Wisconsin.  I also am a Scentsy Independent Consultant and created this blog to share my experience as a consultant as well as a SAHM. 

I would like to start at the beginning as to why I am a SAHM.  I never imagined myself as being able to stay at home with my children.  I was was raised in a household where both of my parents needed to work - they never had the choice.  My brother and I never seemed to mine but we also didn't know any different.  My husband on the other hand was able to stay at home with his mom and two sisters.  He wanted me to at least be home part-time, which I considered. 

I have a BA in Communications and a MA in Management in Leadership so staying at home with my degrees was really the last idea on my mine.  Then while I was pregnant in 2007 with our DD my position was eliminated due to company cut backs.  It was right at the start to the economy going down hill.  With my experience and education I could not fine anything!  I applied for a part-time admin assistant position and found out so had 250 others!  I was one of the lucky ones to get an interview but declined the job because of the pay and how far I would have to travel - it just didn't make sense.  I was then lucky enough to find a job working for a Management and Leadership consultant (whom I still work for from home very part time). 

My daughter was born and decided to stay with the part time job and I worked out of the home 2 days a week and then 1 day from home.  This worked great until my DH company also started laying off workers.  At that point he found a wonderful job but we had to move - of course this was at the start of the housing crash.  So for 9 long months we lived apart.

Now to the present - I still work for the Management Consultant from home but only a few hours a week (his business is also slow).  I have occasionally looked for other jobs but the thought of someone else watching my kids every day kinda makes me sick.  I love being with them, most of the time:)  I recently became a Scentsy Independent Consultant and love it!  I have something to look forward to, something that makes me feel accomplish, something that is MINE!
